About the Scheme

Hong Kong Metropolitan University (HKMU) is undertaking a project funded by The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust for implementing the Jockey Club STEAM Education Resources Sharing Scheme (the Scheme) and providing relevant support to secondary schools to implement STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics) education.

The Scheme will work together with secondary schools to demonstrate how to integrate existing school subjects into STEAM to make its learning joyful and facilitate teachers to acquire the knowledge and skills to implement STEAM education in their schools. The Scheme will provide support and training to secondary school teachers, and act as an information hub to provide the latest information on STEAM education to secondary schools.

Scope

  • Assist secondary schools to implement STEAM education, such as the development of STEAM-related materials and suggestions of students learning activities
  • Support teachers’ professional development on STEAM education
  • Collect feedback from stakeholders for enhancing the services to secondary schools
  • Establish an information hub for sharing good practices
